Let me tell you a little about me
wife - mother - speaker - writer - mentor - fundraiser
I’ve been married for 28 years to my husband Mickey, and am a mom to four mostly-grown children (and a recently added son-in-law!). I’m a writer and speaker who is passionate about helping women find hope as they embrace the fullness of their stories.
Over the past decade I have become a relentless pursuer of the truth in my story, learning to hold the pain and beauty I’ve experienced in a way that allows me to honor them both.
I’m particularly drawn to encouraging moms who feel like their parenting was deeply flawed and think it’s too late for redemption.
I have personally experienced the paralyzing effects of not knowing how to move forward in your story. Fear and feelings of despair and defeat can seem crushing. I am grateful for those who came alongside me on my journey, and long to help others in making life changes that provide freedom, margin and clarity.
I’m an attorney by trade, and also volunteer as the fundraising director for LoVE USA, a nonprofit benefiting AIDS orphans in Southern Africa. I have been involved with the life-giving MomCo. ministry for over 20 years now as I’ve moved from being a young mom to a mentor mom. As part of my passion for helping women become unstuck, I have also worked to help them with their physical spaces as a lifestyle mentor in my business Life Unburdened.
Born and raised in beautiful South Africa, I currently live in the bustling D.C. Metro area with our youngest teen daughter along with our menagerie of dogs, cats and a hamster.

a little more about…
living unburdened
I worked for a few years as a professional organizer and realized that there is a clear link between the state of our environment and calendar to our internal worlds.
I endeavored to become a lifestyle mentor - while transforming cluttered rooms and schedules into peaceful, meaningful and productive spaces creates margin for your time to be used in the way you actually want to use it, this is usually only a byproduct of the real work.
I ask my clients insightful questions to identify their hopes and goals for their life, how they lost their way and how we can change direction to make the future different to the past.
Through a creative and functional approach to minimize physical clutter and stress, as well as tackle ineffective patterns and practices, together we create a plan to move forward to start living the life you long to live.
Lily of the
Valley Endeavor
Lily of the Valley Endeavor (LoVE) started in the United States as an awareness creating and fund raising non-profit organization to support a hospice for babies who had lost their mothers to the AIDS virus in South Africa. As these children were loved and cared for, and after time, given anti-retroviral drugs, they started surviving. The need to create a safe home for these children arose, and Lily of the Valley Children’s Village as started. A few years later, LoVE started raising support for another village in South Africa, iKhethelo. Recently we added yet another village, this time in Zimbabwe, named Lirhanzo.
It has been one of my life’s joys to share the story of the precious children of LoVE, and to raise support for them. LoVE hosts an annual fundraiser on both the East and West Coasts each year. It would be an honor to invite you into the work of LoVE!
